Sunshiney days

Spent all day making myself look pretty for tomorrow when i see ben again. Also washed the puppy & baked a few goodies for our picnic :) I'm taking our tiny little bbq as well, so we can cook up some yummy stuff for lunch!

This past week has been such a blur, it seems like one drama after another. Thankfully it's nearly over and i can see the light at the tunnel, and no, it's not a train. Disaster averted.

I've spent alllll morning cleaning our room as well, pretty pleased with myself, it looks lovely now!

Yesterday I went to the doctors and had a Depro-Provera shot, honestly i was such a chicken, i thought it was going to hurt like a 'bitch'. The nurse jabbed me in my right buttock, and then i was on my way, didn't hurt a bit. Such a woose.

So it's 4:30pm and i should be asleep by 6pm, i have to be up at some ungodly hour in the morning, to commence the 2 hour drive to mackay to pick up ben. I will definitely be enlisting the help of a few sugarfree v's that's for sure!

Then onward to our picnic spot, yay!

Week

Update! Finally

This week has been awesome, Ben and I have had the house to ourselves! I've been cooking him all his favourite dinners before he goes away for 9 days on sunday. I love cooking, especially for Ben because he always appreciates it! Sunday he is going away for 9 whole days to visit his family, which will be great, because he hasn't seen them in sooo long and won't be able to see them again until a little after our big overseas trip! (We can't really afford it, but it's family)

This weekend I get to see some extended family, cousins, uncles & aunties. We're going in for a family bbq, it will be nice to catch up with everyone again, especially my gran, she's so cute!

Ben & I get to stay in our own motel room, it's nice to have our own space. Living with my family 365 days a year has its pros and cons. We're adults now and can't wait to have our own house + the space that comes with it. Sometimes you just want to chill, you know?

So Ben flys out sunday, then it's work alllll week for me on my lonesome & then girls weekend in Mackay! Can't wait, going to a pash party & then hitting the town (clubbing!). Will be great to hang out with everybody again! Bought the most gorgeous dress to wear as well, just have to decide on my heels and earrings now!

Then Bens back the Wednesday after, it's nice to have something to look forward to.

For the moment, i'm happy to just put my feet up drink tea & bake sugar cookies with ben this afternoon.

This site always makes me laugh, whenever i'm having a shitty day! Today I watched Bathurst with my dad, cleaned my room & took my puppy for a walk. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, that's for sure. Mum & Dad go away for a week as well. House (almost) to myself, yay!

The old switch-a-roo

This is my very first post, how exciting! I've recently switched from another blogging site, this is very modern compared to the other & I have a few friends that also use this site, added bonus!
Well, today was my boyfriend Ben's birthday, he's 20! wow, has time flown! I met him when he was 16! hardly seems like it's been that long, dare I say it seems like it's only really been a year.
We went out to lunch with my parents, and I baked him a double layer chocolate cake, with my special frosting (it is to die for!) , covered it in flake & made a border with some smarties. Delish!

I love to bake, especially for others, when we move out, I'm definitely going to throw dinner parties! This afternoon, after work, we went and rented some movies, which we will watch after dinner (lemon/garlic chicken stirfry-my fav!). Tomorrow he is celebrating by going to beer fest, i'm not keen, so he's going to have a guys day & good for him, he needs male company, just like i need to spend time with my girlfriends, (i might end up making an appearance with them tomorrow).

Well that's all i have to update right now (during the week in this town, there's really not anything note worthy that happens).

I'll be sure to keep this up to date though!

4 months until our big trip to Hong Kong, London & Europe, now that's something to look forward to!
