What do you see

Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror? I'm not talking about physically, I'm speaking about your soul, the part of yourself that will never decay, that you will be connected to for all eternity. Are you truly living? Or just existing wishing for something better? Time doesn't slow, it just keeps ticking and ticking every little second away, another down the eternal drain of memories. Change a life, an opinion, give a hug to someone who needs it most. Influence is an amazingly powerful thing. Few realise that they possess such a power. The truth is we all have the ability, inside of ourselves, to help those around us. Many just choose not to and choose to believe that ignorance is bliss. True? I beg to differ...

Bliss is the ability to change a life, in my opinion. I strive to achieve one act of kindness a day.If everyone had this philosophy, contrary to cliche' the world wouldn't be a better place, but it would, indeed, be kinder. Every day is a blessing and someone is always worse off than yourself.Even if you perceive everyday as a monochromatic scene on constant repeat.
It may be a blessing in disguise. That is not to say that neglecting your needs is the way to achieve an ultimately, unselfish lifestyle. Everything must be in moderation. Perfect balance. Pain will always reign supreme, but hindsight is a beautiful thing. It stimulates change, it allows us to adapt, to rearrange, to transform. It's never to late to better your soul. However, it's too late when you're on your death bed, to wish that you had truly lived your life.
